SPORTS NEWS

City District Cross Country

This Friday 2nd May, we will have 33 of our talented distance runners, across the 9-12yo age groups, competing in the City District Cross Country at Brisbane Grammar Playing Fields. These students qualified by finishing in the top 5 at our district trials last term and have been training hard during, and after, the school holidays to prepare for the day.

We will be competing against over 30 other schools across the district and in the A division of schools for the A division trophy. Last year we finished a fantastic 2nd overall in the A division and against every school, based on our school numbers and results, we were crowned the OVERALL WINNERS on percentage! Good luck to all our runners on the day, we cannot wait to hear how you all go.

This term, coming up in weeks 5-8, our Year 4 – 6 students will be heading out to Gala Day Interschool Sport which forms part of our physical education & sport program. City District & Met North Sport

Congratulations to the following students who have recently been selected into City District and Met North sports teams. These selections are a strong reflection of the student’s overall ability in the sport as they have competed against the best students within our district in the sports, and or entire region, to make these teams and progress to participate at the next level. We wish them all the best as they progress to the next stage.
